HOW IT CAME ABOUT

It all started in 1979, when Ina-Maria Schmid was confronted by the concept of nail cosmetics for the first time. Two years later, she opened her first nail salon in Austria, and in 1987, she won the Austrian Nail Championship. It would only be a matter of time before she realised her long-cherished concept of nail design training in Austria. Schmid’s ingenious concept has in fact helped thousands of people in the EU to establish themselves in the industry and become successful entrepreneurs. Today, the market is growing by about 5,000 nail studios annually, thanks to her 56 distribution partners in 21 countries.

 

HER INSTINCT

Schmid was, of course, aware of the problematic situation in the European market but was determined to launch her your own high quality nail product line. And Christian Cesar followed in Schmid’s successful footsteps. Sensitive, creative and eager to learn, he was ready to fully commit to the company. Both partners then created the highly successful „Cesars Secrets International“ product line.

 

HER BUSINESS EXPERTISE

Her future as the European No. 1 in nail design was now assured. Particularly in terms of technology and standards, no one in this industry could match her.

The breakthrough innovation in 2014: Sectio Aurea, the „Golden Ratio“.

 

Even successful professionals and world champions like the American Tom Holcomb gave full recognition to „Cesars Secrets International“.

 

In the meantime, the celebrated nail queen founded the „Austrian Nail Academy“ in 1006 and then in 2001 the consolidation parent „IMS Europe“. Nobody could stop the successful IMS duo – IMS being short for Ina Maria Schmid and CC, Christian Cesar.

 

HER INTERNATIONAL COMPANY

IMS Europe is an international company, supplying products to countries such as: Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, France, Holland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Finland, Norway, England, Ireland, Italy, Scotland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Thailand, Japan, USA, Greece, India, Lithuania and Belarus.

 

 

HER NETWORK

Schmid established „Nail Academies“ in every European country and in 2001 integrated them in the „European Nail Academy“ umbrella organisation.

In 2004, she managed the impossible – establishing a European association for nail designers, which goes under the name of the „European Nail Association“.

 

HER TOUGHEST CHALLENGE
After many years (8 years) of interventions, Ina Maria Schmid achieved in Austria what no one done even in Germany: gaining state recognition for nail design as a profession.
►On 1 June, 1989, the Austrian authorities finally introduced a TRADE LICENCE as a result of constant pressure from Ina Maria Schmid.

HER PERSONAL FAIRY TALE

The „Cesars Secrets“ product line was introduced to the international market in autumn 2002 at Messe München with Christian Cesar.

This was the first time a product line succeeded in winning its second European title in succession during the first public presentation by Christian Cesar of the brand „Cesars Secrets International“. Today, Christian Cesar (in whose honour the product line was created) remains Europe’s most successful nail designer.
